The band I have chosen for my music video are called 'Grinny Grandad' with the song 'Cha Cha'. I chose this partly because the alternative, pop, funk genre was different to my initial music taste so would challenge my understanding of slightly different target audiences. The song has a positive vibe to it which I think is crucial to attract a younger generation. The vibe of the song reflects the feel of successful bands such as the Chemical Brothers and Basement Jaxx so gives an indicator that the music created is potentially very good. I think the song 'Cha cha' will create a great backdrop for my ideas for my music video and will be great for linking these ideas together.

Contacting the band initially seemed difficult as 'Myspace' has been known to be relatively unused by the mass audience due to changing popularity towards social networking sites. Grinny Grandad however replied to my first emails quickly and efficiently, giving me permission to use their track.
