Magazine Flat Plan

I think it would be a good idea to link my magazine advert to my digipack using the same features that are already promoting my band identity such as star image motif and house colours, however I want to use a different theme previously discussed. I want to do this as I think although the theme will be different, the promotional features will still help audiences identify Grinny Grandad and I would like to utilize as many of my ideas as possible.

I have decided to use the theme of my character going on a journey and want to capture images of each location within 4 sections of my magazine advert. I think by doing this, as well using my other theme of selling a whole product for the digipack; it will effectively link with the music video being created.

Looking at my flat plan of the magazine cover I think I could void the separators being used to create more continuity, a feature that I want to emphasise in my music video. However by doing this it may create a very visually cluttered page whereas I would like to provoke a sense of organisation that may be more pleasing to the eye. There is a direct link created through the use of adding an image of my digipack on the magazine advert; by doing this the audience will not be forced to make assumptions to as who's album is being promoted.

I believe that by having all the text at the bottom third of the page, readers will not be discouraged to consume the information. This comes as the audience will read the advert from the top to bottom, with the ability to steadily asses what is being shown to them as oppose to being 'forced' to read information.
